Katherine Howard BA (Hons), a professional musician, began her media career at the BBC and her career has taken her to Deutsche Grammophon, Philips Classics, Sony Music & EMI Classics and the Virgin Classics label, the last two positions as Director of Press & Promotions.

She has worked with artists as illustrious as the late Herbert von Karajan, Dame Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Mtislav Rostropovich and Leonard Bernstein.

In her managerial role she has organised the promotional campaigns of artists as diverse as Issac Stern, John Williams and John Taverner. Working on a one-to-one basis with artists, she managed the CD promotions and Record signings of Artists.

She has travelled extensively throughout Europe, the USA and the USSR, actively promoting artists such as Nigel Kennedy, Roberto Alagna, Dame Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Simon Rattle.

Katherine Howard Public Relations was formed in 1998 and has worked with many of the top international artists of today.

During the past decade the company has worked for many  major Music and Arts companies in the UK including the BBC, EMI Records, Sony, Universal & Music Choice. Projects are broad ranging and various, covering international promotion & PR consultancy to the promotion of individual artists and recordings and Artist management.

The company has promoted hundreds of CD & DVD albums for the BBC and other clients,  covering a broad spectrum of TV hit shows and specialist music CD’s: pop, crossover and classical. They have also promoted CD’s for Universal, Sony & EMI Records, notably working with Roberto Alagna, Angela Gheorghiu, Chick Corea and Yundi Li and the Queens Jubilee Concerts as well as other smaller labels and concerns.
